Santos and Campos Basins
Explore pre-salt regions with broadband and pre-SDM seismic
CGG provides an unparalleled resource for pre-salt exploration with more than 100,000 square kilometers of contiguous, high-quality broadband, pre-stack depth migrated seismic data spanning the prospective Santos and Campos Basins of South America. Deliverables include a TTI RTM PSDM and a TTI Kirchhoff PSDM featuring the latest 3D deghosting, internal multiple attenuation (IMA), and advanced full-waveform inversion including time-lag FWI.
Tupinambá – Constellation Extension
The 20,400 km2 Constellation Extension survey includes the Tupinambá and Bumerangue blocks, deep pre-salt targets with a complex salt structure. Once merged with the Antares survey, an acquisition currently in progress, the resulting high-end dual azimuth (DAZ) processing, together with CGG’s latest processing technologies, will improve and enhance imaging over this block. Tupinambá and Bumerangue are available as part of Brazil’s pre-salt Permanent Offer.
Agata reimaging
The Agata Reimaging project covers 9,380 km2 of Santos VII. The latest CGG technologies are included in this high-end reprocessing: Time-Lag FWI and Internal Multiple Attenuation (IMA), a challenging step in seismic processing, providing accurate and reliable imaging of the highly complex overburden, and the heavily compressed salt geometries. The Agata block is part of Brazil’s pre-salt Permanent Offer and is now available.
Polaris reprocessing
This project encompasses the Agua Marinha, Norte de Brava, and Itaimbezinho blocks, now available as part of Brazil’s Permanent Offer initiative, and which neighbors known fields. Polaris is a merge of eleven different surveys, including CGG’s Campos II and multiple public domain data sets. The 13,356 km2 area covers open acreage with multiple prospects, with emphasis on the pre-salt. CGG uses its latest advances in reprocessing technology in all our Brazil projects.
Esmeralda Merge reprocessing
The Esmeralda project covers 2,450 km2 of public data reprocessed and merged with CGG’s Constellation project. The high-end dual azimuth (DAZ) data set improves and enhances imaging over Esmeralda, with relevant volumes in several prospects. Esmeralda is another block being offered as part of Brazil’s Permanent Offer.
Nebula (processing in progress)
The Jade block, part of Brazil’s pre-salt Permanent Offer, is covered by both the recent 40,530 km2 BroadSeisTM Nebula and the 17,500 km2 legacy Pulsar surveys, providing enhanced dual-azimuth (DAZ) coverage of the area.
The high-end processing technology improves industry-best pre-salt imaging. These include Interbed Multiple Attenuation (IMA) and industry-leading Time-Lag FWI to address the pre-salt illumination difficulties posed by challenging complex overburden. The result is a step-change improvement in velocity model detail and improved imaging of base of salt (BOS) and pre-salt structures.
Nebula A 3D Survey
Dual-azimuth acquisition with high-end processing technology improves industry-best pre-salt imaging and resolves small structural complexities. Tomography and TL-FWI iteration provides unrivaled definition of salt scenarios to address Brazil’s geological challenges.
