We are committed to supporting all APA 2023 awarded companies with our best-in-class subsurface data to help reduce risk and encourage activity
CGG have been on the NCS from the start, pioneering seismic technology and geoscience integration
Whether its prospecting for natural resources or subsurface carbon storage sites, CGG provides the highest-quality images of the subsurface and an integrated geoscience approach to reservoir characterization to help you confidently explore, rank and de-risk licensing opportunities.
Carbon storage licensing
For the sixth time the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has announced acreage for CO2 storage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and in 2022, the NSTA commenced the first carbon storage licensing round, awarding offshore acerage for CO2 appraisal and storage licensing as part of UK decarbonisation incentives.
CGG is well positioned to support continued carbon storage licensing in the region with long-standing subsurface expertise, storage evaluation, reservoir modeling, engineering, instrumentation and monitoring.
